A CHILD'S VIEW FROM GAZA

Tuesday, October 25, 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Free and open to the public

Harvard University Austin Hall Rm 101

Co-presented with: Harvard Law School Justice for Palestine The Harvard Law School Middle East Law Students' Association

Susan Johnson is Exhibit Coordinator. Artwork was curated by artist Rajie Cook.

A temporary display of artwork: "A Child"s View from Gaza" The drawings were created shortly after Operation Cast Lead by children attending children's centers in Gaza.

"Please, tell the people in the States what is being done to Gaza, we are suffering, we need help." This plea was heard over and over again by a small delegation visiting Gaza in May 2009. Their response to that plea is the children's exhibit you see today. They made arrangements for the drawings to be created, brought to the states, prepared and curated to be exhibited and handle arrangements for the drawings to be seen. In "A Child's View from Gaza" voices are heard and stories told through through drawings created in art therapy classes. "A picture is worth a thousand words."
